Autobanner Dynamic Banners – A Better Solution for Ads Personalisation
Personalising ads has become an essential part of marketing. It allows us to target users based on their interests and needs by displaying various messages and visuals. Although there is potential, an efficient solution for personalising messages and producing brand-appropriate visuals still needs to be improved, especially for companies with a large, frequently changing product selection.
For this, we created a dynamic banner platform called Autobanner, which automates visual customisation and significantly improves the efficiency of ad creation and management.
Challenge: 7 Languages and 70 Destinations
airBaltic has used Meta’s dynamic catalogue ads for years in retargeting and prospecting campaigns. However, due to a brand update, they needed to renew visuals for all destinations by the end of last year. airBaltic has over 70 destinations, which, combined with different departure points, make up a catalogue with more than 1,800 products. Additionally, ads must be managed in seven different languages and account for constantly changing prices that must be dynamically reflected in the banners.

Once the scope of work was clear, we identified two main issues: the platform’s limited design options and difficulty managing ever-changing data. Meta’s tools allowed for dynamic price display, but design flexibility and other information (such as destination name) remained restricted.
An alternative solution was necessary. So, we developed the Autobanner platform, which enables dynamic banner designs that, besides price information, display the destination name and other essential brand elements. The banners now align with airBaltic’s new design language and adapt dynamically to real-time changes. Autobanner gives us greater flexibility in customising the design to meet brand requirements and allows us to add more than one dynamic element.
Customized Ads Based on Users
Over time, we have further developed the platform to make ads even more relevant to users:
- Local Currencies: For the Scandinavian and UK markets, we added dynamic pricing in the respective local currencies (e.g., SEK, GBP), making the ads more relevant and precise by offering market-specific pricing.

- Temperature Display: If the destination’s temperature for the coming week is between 17 °C and 30°C, it is shown in the banner, providing users with additional information to help them choose a travel destination.

- Direct Flights: We added a direct-flight label in the ads, helping travelers quickly identify destinations with the most convenient routes.
- Discounted Prices: We created a separate label for special offers that appears automatically for destinations currently offering promotions.

Result: Efficient Automation
Autobanner enables airBaltic to generate over 12,000 banners daily, automatically updating based on price changes and other data. This significantly reduces time spent creating campaigns and allows the company to provide ads aligning with specific brand guidelines.
The solution not only saves time but also allows airBaltic to deliver precisely targeted, relevant, and visually appealing ads to its customers.
